ENRICHMENT CLASSES - Spring 2026

Registration for Spring classes is now open.  Spring classes will begin Monday, April 6, 2026 and run through Monday, June 8, 2026.

 

Monday through Thursday classes are held from 3:45pm to 4:30pm with after-care included until 5:00pm. Friday classes are held from 3:30 to 4:15 with after-care ending at 4:30pm on Fridays. 

 

If we do not have enough students enrolled in a particular class, we must cancel it; therefore, it is important that you register by March 18, 2026. 

 

Some classes have limited enrollment.

Please send an extra snack for your child on enrichment days, as they will have supervised free play and time for their snack from 3:15pm until their class starts.

Monday: Animal Book Enrichment (Ms. Bruce)

In this creative art class, students will explore drawing, collage, and painting while bringing animals to life on the page! Each week, we’ll focus on a different animal and experiment with a variety of art materials and techniques. Students will learn foundational drawing skills, explore painting methods, and express their creativity through hands-on projects. By the end of the course, all of their animal artwork will be compiled into a one-of-a-kind illustrated book to take home and cherish!  Fee: $360

 

 Monday: Tennis – Henry the Sports Bug! (K – 6th)

All students are welcome to be a part of Henry the Sports Bug – Tennis enrichment.  The classes introduce tennis, with experienced tennis coaches, in a fun, supportive environment helping young children develop physically, socially, and emotionally. 10:1 student to coach ratio – all equipment, including rackets and balls are provided.  Fee: $450

 

Monday: Orchestra with Mr. De Palma (3rd 6th grades)

In this performance-based enrichment class, students will learn to play in an ensemble while studying classical and film repertoire. To join, students must play an orchestral instrument, must have played for at least one year (at LES or outside of school) and must be able to read sheet music at a basic level. Orchestral instruments include violin, viola, cello, upright bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and orchestral percussion. Students who play other instruments (such as piano, drum set or guitar) may join as percussionists but must be able to read sheet music at a basic level. It is strongly recommended that students take lessons concurrently (at LES or outside of school).  Home practice is expected for this class. Fee: $360

 

 

Tuesday:  Young Ninjas  (Coach Michael) (K-3rdgrades)

fun, physical outlet where kids learn martial arts techniques in a non-contact, non-competitive, and age-appropriate environment. Fee: $360

 

Tuesday:  Digital Art Design

A fun and interactive digital art class participants will discover the exciting world of digital art using Apple iPads. Our experienced instructors will guide your children through various techniques and tools to create engaging, vibrant and dynamic artwork. Throughout the course, kids will learn how to use the latest digital tools and software to create artwork that is both creative and unique. They will experiment with different brush types, learn about color theory, and explore the endless possibilities of layering and blending. Fee: $360

 

Tuesday: Intro to Dungeons and Dragons (Mr. De Palma) (3rd – 6th grades) 

Step into a world of imagination and adventure! In this introduction to Dungeons & Dragons, students will learn the basics of this classic role-playing game while creating their own characters, exploring teamwork, and telling stories together. Fee: $360

 

 

Wednesday:  Sewing and Embroidery

Want to learn how to sew and embroider?  Miss Shannon's Sewing Class will show children how to attach buttons and use various stitches (running, back, and chain). Patching and embellishing clothing will be incorporated through various projects. Coin bags, mini apple pillows, calico/plaid bears, felt penguins, berets and images like deer, cats, and birds will be embroidered. All materials are pre-cut and provided. Sewing kits include a canvas bag with 15 skeins of thread, pins, needles, scissors, and an embroidery hoop! Fee: $360

 

Wednesday:  Old World Animals

This session we will be learning all about “Old World” animals!  Students will get a hands-on encounter with our animals from Africa, Europe, and Asia.  Students can expect to learn about desert dwelling animals, animals from the jungles as well as the grasslands.  We will have snakes, lizards, parrots, insects, fuzzy mammals, and tortoises.  This class will include huge pythons over 8 feet long and a bull frog the size of a dinner plate!  This hands-on class will introduce students to a new live animal each week as they explore what makes these animals truly unique in the animal world.  Students will learn about these animals in a variety of ways such as games, stories, art projects and of course animal interactions!  Come join us this session, where you will meet a variety of new animal friends.   Fee: $400

 

Wednesday: Flag Football (3rd  – 6th)

All 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are welcome to join LES Flag Football.  Students will learn football fundamentals, develop strategy and have fun with their friends. This is a non-contact sports class using Flag Football rules and materials. Fee: $360

 

 

Thursday:  Instrumental Lessons(Thurs, 3:45-4:30, Mr. De Palma (2nd – 6th grades)

Ever wanted to learn an instrument? Now is your chance! Take after-school lessons on your instrument of choice from Mr. De Palma and other professional musicians. Students will be split by instrument and level. Please note that instrument rental through an outside vendor is an additional charge. (Home practice is expected for this class.) Fee: $360

2nd-3rdgrade: violin, viola, cello, and upright bass

4th-6thgrade:  violin, viola, cello, upright bass, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn/euphonium/tuba, clarinet, flute, saxophone, orchestral percussion

 

Thursday:  Jr. Eagles Basketball (1st - 3rd)

All 1st thru 3rd graders are welcome to join LES Eagles Jr. basketball. Coach Michael will teach fundamental basketball skills for students of all skill levels.  This fun, fast paced class will focus on dribbling, passing, footwork, ball handling, and shooting.  Players will play intersquad games throughout the sessions. Fee: $360

 

Thursday: Culinary Chefs

Back by popular demand… our chefs will create delicious snacks and meals from all over the world.  The sessions includes interactive nutrition lessons and preparing, cooking, and tasting all of the exquisite foods.  The kids will explore the geography and culture of what makes great food and what it says about the people where the food came from.  Fee: $360

 

 

Friday: Bedazzled Jewelry Design and More!

A fun and interactive “Kids Jewelry- Making Class” is a hands-on experience where the kids can explore and design a variety of jewelry making pieces. From a variety of colorful beads, charms, and accents the kids will get to craft their personalized unique keepsakes.  Fee: $320
