ENRICHMENT CLASSES - Fall 2026

Los Encinos School is pleased to offer Enrichment Classes for the 2026-2027 school year. Classes will be offered in three sessions (Fall, Winter, and Spring) with each session lasting 8 to 13 weeks.

 

Registration for Fall classes is now open.  Fall classes will begin Wednesday, September 2 and run through Thursday, November 19. (Mondays 8 sessions; Tuesdays 11 sessions; Wednesdays and Thursdays 12 sessions; Fridays 9 sessions)

 

Monday through Thursday classes are held from 3:45pm to 4:30pm with after-care included until 5:00pm. Friday classes are held from 3:30 to 4:15 with after-care ending at 4:30pm on Fridays.

If we do not have enough students enrolled in a particular class, we must cancel it; therefore, it is important that you register by Friday, August 14.  Some classes have limited enrollment. Please send an extra snack for your child on enrichment days, as they will have supervised free play and time for their snack from 3:15pm until their class starts.

Monday: Art Mania

Get ready to get creative in this mixed media art class. Dabble in watercolor, pastels, collage, printmaking, and more! Each class features a new medium and theme. Create marbled paper, colorful seascapes, optical illusions, and even design your own T-shirt. We'll also learn about the artists who inspire each project. Fee: $320

 

 Monday: Tech Titans

Head to the STEM lab after school for some fun with 3D Printing, coding MBots and robots and VR games! We have a fully equipped, cutting-edge learning center where students can discover and develop real-world robotics, object oriented programming, and mechanical engineering while having real fun. Kids develop critical thinking skills and learn to work as a team Fee: $320

 

Monday: Tennis – Henry the Sports Bug! (K – 6th)

All students are welcome to be a part of Henry the Sports Bug – Tennis enrichment.  The classes introduce tennis, with experienced tennis coaches, in a fun, supportive environment helping young children develop physically, socially, and emotionally.   10:1 student to coach ratio – all equipment, including rackets and balls are provided.  Fee: $400

  

Monday & Thursday Orchestra and Instrumental Lessons with Mr. De Palma and Mr. Rolontz (3rd - 6th)

This class is for beginning students to learn to play orchestral instruments and for intermediate and advanced students to hone their skills and learn to play in an orchestra! Beginning students will have lessons twice a week while intermediate and advanced students have one orchestra rehearsal and one lesson a week. This is a performance class, and intermediate and advanced students will perform at the end of the trimester. Instrument rentals and textbook purchase is not included. 

Lessons available for 3rd-6th:  Violin, Viola, Cello, Upright Bass

Lessons available for 4th-6th:  Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba/Baritone Horn/Euphonium, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Orchestral Percussion

Drummers and pianists may sign up for orchestra as percussionists. If students who take lessons outside of school want to sign up only one day a week for orchestra, please reach out to Mr. De Palma.Open to students 3rd-6th. Fee: $800 (Mondays and Thursdays included for the full fall session with Mr. Rolontz and Mr. DePalma)

 

Tuesday & Wednesday: Soccer with Coach Terry (4th-6th)

In this after-school soccer class for the upper grades, skills taught will include dribbling, passing, juggling, fake-outs, shooting, bending, and headers. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, combining teamwork, a great physical workout, and exciting game play. Strategy will be a huge component. Coach Terry will teach the kids to use their heads (quite literally)!  This class is held two days each week (All games are on Wednesdays – Parent drivers will need to provide transportation to Valley Soccer Center).  Fee: $500 (includes uniform)

 

Tuesday:  Digital Art Design

A fun and interactive digital art class participants will discover the exciting world of digital art using Apple iPads. Our experienced instructors will guide your children through various techniques and tools to create engaging, vibrant and dynamic artwork. Throughout the course, kids will learn how to use the latest digital tools and software to create artwork that is both creative and unique. They will experiment with different brush types, learn about color theory, and explore the endless possibilities of layering and blending. Fee: $440

 

Tuesday: Chorus for grades 3-6 (Mr. De Palma and Ms. Bruce)

This enrichment class offers kids a fun and engaging way to develop their musical voice. In this class, students will learn to sing as a chorus, including vocal technique and harmonies. Repertoire will focus on pop and musical theater. This is a performance class, and students will perform at the end of the trimester.  Fee: $440

 

 

Wednesday: Sewing and Embroidery

Want to learn how to sew and embroider?  Miss Shannon's Sewing Class will show children how to attach buttons and use various stitches (running, back, and chain). Patching and embellishing clothing will be incorporated through various projects. Coin bags, mini apple pillows, calico/plaid bears, felt penguins, berets and images like deer, cats, and birds will be embroidered. All materials are pre-cut and provided. Sewing kits include a canvas bag with 15 skeins of thread, pins, needles, scissors, and an embroidery hoop! Fee: $480

 

Wednesday: Ace Escape Room

Do you like puzzles? How about working as a team to solve mysteries and master riddles to see if you have what it takes to beat the clock?! Inspired by the popular Escape Room concept, ACE ESCAPE is an interactive and team building class, focused on getting kids moving, thinking outside the box and working together! Each day a new story/challenge will be presented. Go undercover to expose a heist operation, see if you can unlock the mysteries of time travel, or escape the hull of a sinking pirate ship. In ACE ESCAPE, students will learn how to work together using logic and wit, to race the clock in order to solve whatever challenge or mystery the day might bring. So bring your brilliance and skills. Do you have what it takes to escape? Fee: $480

  

 

 

Thursday: Young Ninjas (K - 4)

A fun, physical outlet where kids learn martial arts techniques in a non-contact, non-competitive, and age-appropriate environment.  Fee: $480

 

Thursday: Comic Book Creators: Super Heroes

This session, students will discover their inner Superhero through the creation of their very own comic book! In this awesome class, students will learn how to build characters, story, and the step by step process of creating a comic book. Through sketching, creating self-portraits, & developing backgrounds, you’ll transform yourself and your everyday surroundings into an amazing comic book. Our instructor will guide our illustrators as they Brainstorm, Storyboard, Pencil, Ink, and Color. After the session is over, the comic booklets are taken back to our studio and professionally edited and put together! When complete, the comic books will be delivered to the students and are theirs to keep! Fee: $480

 

 

Friday: “Sports & Games”

Dribble, throw, pass, shoot….Take the ball to the hoop! Run, block, slide, kick…..you’re the Eagle that we pick!  Basketball, soccer, baseball and other sports will be played after school on the blacktop courts (After ends promptly at 4:30pm on Fridays) Fee: $360
